// THE OPERATOR

Welcome to the digital logbook of VE6KIX. My name is David Lee, I am an amateur radio operator based in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. My primary interests include HF DXing, digital modes, and experimenting with antenna construction. When the weather is nice, I also enjoy portable operations during camping trips, SOTA and POTA activations.

If you hear me on the air, please give me a call. I am always happy to make a new contact, whether you are next door or DX.

Read the bands. Work the world.

PropDeck is the real-time HF propagation operations dashboard I built for the amateur-radio community — designed for serious DXers and digital-mode operators who want every piece of propagation intelligence on one screen.

What's on the deck: ▸ Live MUF, foF2, and VOACAP path coverage from your QTH
DRAP HF blackout overlay + aurora forecast
▸ Solar and space-weather indices (SFI, A/K-index, X-ray flux, solar wind, R/S/G scales)
PSK Reporter + DX cluster spots, band-filtered
WSJT-X decode integration over UDP / WebSocket bridge
▸ DXpedition tracker (NG3K) and POTA / SOTA / WWFF activator spots
▸ Satellite tracking with ground tracks and footprints
▸ Day/night terminator with NASA Black Marble city lights
▸ Live lightning strikes (Blitzortung)
▸ Globe + Mercator map projections, great-circle DX path from your QTH
▸ Installable PWA — phone, tablet, desktop
